608.00/01 PUR Hotmelt Adhesive
Application:
Moisture curing polyurethane hot melt in granular form. Fast setting, high initial strength. Crosslinks in several days for a permanent bond. Solid wood or veneer, HPL/CPL, polyester, primed PVC, ABS, PP and resinated paper edgebands.
Reaktant 608 should be applied at 110-130C and comes in both granular and Holz-Her hot melt cartridges. This PUR is often applied with automatic edgebanders.

Processing temperature [ºC]: 100 – 120 (212 – 248 ºF)
Final digit 0 = yellowish opaque
Final digit 1 = white
Density at 20 ºC (68 ºF) [g/cm³]:* approx. 1.10 ± 0.10 (9.18 ± 0.83 lb./gal)
Softening point [ºC]:* approx. 65 ± 5 (149 ± 9 ºF) (Kofler Bench)
Open time at 120 ºC (248 ºF) [s]:* approx. 7 ± 3
Viscosity at 120 ºC (248 ºF) [mPa·s]: 90,000 ± 20,000
(Brookfield, Thermosel, Spindle 28, 4 RPM)
Cleaning: If necessary, flush out hot melt remnants from the melt and applicator units with Jowat Flushing Agent 930.94. For more information refer to the “PUR hot melt Manual” under the heading “Maintenance and Cleaning” (available upon request)
Storage: May be stored for 12 months after date of shipment from Jowat, in properly closed original containers, cool and dry (15-25°C).
