In-Line Material Separator | 28-44 in. Diameter for Woodworking, Plastics & Dry Dusts
The separator’s design incorporates two basic principles:
- Dust in general, and heavier dust in particular, will fall out of the airstream at low velocities. The larger chamber of the separator causes the air to slow down.
- Dust in general and heavier dust in particular will follow the initial path as it ‘blows’ by the outlet/exhaust duct, which sits directly behind the incoming and deflecting cone. This cone throws the material to the outside of the larger chamber AND ‘past’ the outlet/exhaust duct (see video below).

Ideal for woodworking applications, the Legend Inline Separator uses both reduced air velocity and centrifugal force to separate dust from air. With no moving parts to wear out, it serves as an efficient pre-separator or classifier by capturing up to 90%* of larger dust particles before they reach the dust collector. This means fewer stoppages to empty discharge bags, barrels or hoppers, or to replace worn filter elements.
